
Homayamem Weli, MD, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Homa Weli was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She had her MD at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and a subsequent internship at Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital, Port Harcourt. Having a keen interest in research, she went on to do a Masters and PhD in Cell and Tissue Engineering at Keele University, United Kingdom. During this time she enjoyed working as Senior House Officer and Clinical Fellow at the University Hospital of North Midlands, NHS Trust. She currently carries out Post Doctoral Research in the Clemens Lab in Washington University St. Louis, studying the interesting behavior of neutrophils. She enjoys spending time with family, song writing, singing at church, pencil drawing, hat making, swimming and writing.
